I'm in it for love - Helena

Art director & Photographer
@thejnr

Helena, mother of Lykke and Levi, has been a big part of Nofred's visual brand. We love her creative and positive mindset as well as her eye for details. And to top it off, she is a cool mum, who enjoys the slow pace of the weekends in her beautiful home placed in the Østerbro neighbourhood, Copenhagen.

What is the most challenging part of being a mother?

The amount of time you worry about them.

What do you love the most about being a mother?

I’m in it for love!

What have you learned from becoming a mother?

Patience.

How is your work/life balance?

I have been working as a freelance art director and photographer for about 3 years now, and that makes all the difference in the world. I can do early pick-ups if the children want and just be more flexible in a hectic everyday life.

What was most difficult to let go off when you became a mother?

Eating out all the time and having a clean house, haha!

What is your favourite Nofred product and why?

The children and I love the Mouse School Set. It’s the perfect spot for both play and homework, and it’s really cute!

Do you prefer lots of appointments and tight schedules in your family or just hanging around in pyjamas at home?

I definitely prefer to have a bit of a slow pace in our house. On weekends we never leave the flat before noon.

How do you feel about all the children's things lying around the house? Do you, for example, tidy up every night?

My children love to be creative! They draw and paint all the time, and if they get their hands on an empty cardboard box, it usually stays with us for two weeks! So yes, we try to tidy up but it’s still messy. Like all the time.

How are the mornings at your house: calm or crazy?

If it’s not a weekend, it’s always crazy!
