HOME Haarlem, the Netherlands
Q What is the most challenging part of being a mother of three children?
A Time. Time for all of them together, time with them separately, time with my husband, time for myself.
Q What do you love the most about being a family of five?
A The chaos and the liveliness!
Reva, 7 years, on Mouse Chair Junior in Grey.
Q What have you learned from becoming a mother?
A That it’s not all about me.
Q How is your work/life balance?
A As a freelance photographer, I can plan my own hours. So I can’t complain. And although it’s getting busier with amazing assignments, I’m still mostly a stay-at-home mum.
Sylvester, 10 years, and Reva, 7 years.
Q What is a daily struggle when it comes to motherhood?
Q What was most difficult: going from one baby to two, or from two to three?
A Becoming a mother for the first time was life-changing and took the most adjusting. After that, it got busier but wasn’t difficult, per se.
Madelon lives in Haarlem, the Netherlands, with her family of five.
Q Do you prefer lots of appointments and tight scheduling in your family, or just hanging around in pyjamas at home?
A We are a pyjama-loving family ;)
Q How do you feel about the children's things lying around the house? Do you, for example, tidy up every night?
A I do clean out the living room at the end of the day, when they are all in bed. I just really love peace and quiet during the evening.
Reva, 7 years.
Q What is your favourite Nofred product and why?
A I love the Mouse chair in all sizes. It’s useful, it’s comfortable, and it looks great in our interior as well. Pretty perfect, if you ask me!
Q How are the mornings at your house: calm or crazy?
A We are slow starters, but we have our little routine that works. But if something is going differently, it can still get crazy at times...
